Antimalarial Tablets (Lonart DS)

Lonart DS is a double-strength artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT) for the treatment of acute, uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, including multi-drug resistant strains. Each tablet combines artemether 80 mg and lumefantrine 480 mg — two antimalarials that work together, with artemether rapidly reducing the parasite load and lumefantrine clearing remaining parasites to help prevent recrudescence. Manufactured by Bliss GVS Pharma, each pack contains a complete 6-tablet adult course taken over 3 days: one tablet at diagnosis, one after 8 hours, then one tablet twice daily on days two and three. Take each dose with food or milk to improve absorption, and always complete the full course even if you feel better. Not for malaria prevention or severe malaria — seek immediate care for severe symptoms.
