Don Julio Blanco is the unaged foundation of Mexico's original luxury tequila house, produced at the La Primavera distillery (NOM 1449) in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, where founder Don Julio González planted his first agave fields in 1942. Made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown 8–10 years in mineral-rich red clay soil, it is double distilled and bottled straight from the still to preserve pure highland agave character. Crystal clear in the glass, it opens with fresh agave, citrus blossom and light florals; the palate is crisp and clean with lemon, lime and grapefruit over sweet cooked agave, closing with a dry, peppery finish. The heart of a world-class margarita or paloma — and smooth enough to sip neat with a squeeze of lime.
