ORS + Zinc Kit — Oral Rehydration Salts (2 Sachets + 10 Zinc Tablets)

This ORS + Zinc kit is the WHO-recommended first-line treatment for diarrhoea and the dehydration it causes, combining everything you need in one convenient pack. Inside are 2 orange-flavoured oral rehydration salts sachets (20.5g each) and 10 zinc 20mg dispersible tablets. The ORS solution quickly replaces the water, glucose and essential electrolytes — sodium, potassium and citrate — lost during diarrhoea, while a daily zinc tablet helps reduce the duration and severity of the episode and supports recovery. Simple to prepare with clean drinking water, the kit is an essential for every home first-aid box, especially for families with young children. Keep one on hand so treatment can start at the very first loose stool, when it matters most.

• Contents: 2 x 20.5g orange-flavour ORS sachets + 10 zinc 20mg dispersible tablets
• WHO-style low-osmolarity formula: glucose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride and sodium citrate
• Replaces fluids and electrolytes lost through diarrhoea and vomiting
• Zinc 20mg daily helps shorten the episode and reduce its severity
• Directions: dissolve 1 sachet in 1 litre of clean drinking water; sip frequently after each loose stool
• Zinc: disperse 1 tablet in a little water once daily for 10 days (half a tablet for infants under 6 months, on advice)
• Discard any prepared ORS solution after 24 hours
• See a doctor if diarrhoea lasts more than 2 days, there is blood in the stool, or signs of severe dehydration appear
