Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal commemorates the year King Louis XV granted Rémy Martin a royal accord in recognition of the exceptional quality of his cognacs. A Fine Champagne cognac — blended from at least 50% Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, the premier cru of the Cognac region — it is matured in specially toasted French oak casks, a slow, low toasting that caramelises the wood and coaxes out extra vanilla, toffee and butterscotch richness. The nose offers ripe figs, baked spices and toffee; the palate is round and creamy with butterscotch, honeyed oak, dried fruit and mocha, gliding into a long, warm, exceptionally smooth finish. Savour it neat or over a large ice cube, or elevate a Sidecar or cognac old fashioned. A statement pour for celebrations and gifting.
